November 14 The Fairmont Hotel, Washington, DC Battaglini/Patton

The Bride, Christa is a friend of mine and was awesome to work with. I don't think I have ever seen her without a smile on her face. And she was all smiles on her wedding night. The Fairmont is one of the most upscale and unique venues I have ever been to. This was a late night reception and it did not seem to bother any of the guests. They danced from beginning to end. Lots of Oldies, 70's and 80's and a fair amount of Top 40. Highlight - "Party in the U.S.A" Miley Cyrus. The Best Man actually requested this and it was a huge hit. I have to admit the song kind of is a guilty pleasure of mine.

November 7 Turf Valley Resort, Ellicott City, MD. Mattoon

The Groom and I really became pretty friendly during the whole planning process and he had full confidence in me and really just let me do my thing when it came to song selection. Melanie looked incredible and seemed really relaxed through the entire reception. Highlight  - Groom's Son coming up to me and saying "Please tell me this is the last song". The problem for him was that we still had over 30 minutes left in the party. I kind of felt sorry for the kid, apparently we had wore him out well passed his regular bed time.

October 17 Hyatt-Dulles, Herndon, VA   Yavulla/Ehlinger

We had some competition with a rival reception right across the hallway from our Ballroom. Not really, our reception was so good some of the guests from the other party crashed ours. This was such a great party they extended the bar and me for an additional 1/2 hour and really needed it.  Highlight - "Time Warp" Rocky Horror Picture Show. I have not played this song in years. It was amazing how many of the guests including many of the younger ones knew the whole dance.

October 10 Harbourtown Resort, St. Michaels, MD. Boyce/Thunderburk

We took part in the Ceremony, cocktails and reception at this Eastern shore venue right on the Chesapeake Bay. A great crowd that all were in a great mood and ready to get it going right away. Angela and Brian were so great to work with and once the party started just enjoyed being there with their guests. Highlight - "Scotty Doesn't Know" by Lustra. Near the end of the reception I asked the Bride if she wanted to hear anything special before we ended the night. I thought she was crazy when she said Lustra. I was completely wrong. Her younger friends and family really were into it. I am glad I asked.

October 3 Capon Springs Spring and Farms, WV. Krautwurst/Kirk

Sarah and Jacob were really great people to work with, very laid back and down to earth. This party was at a Resort in West Virginia that I have obviously never been to before. It was in the mountains and had some fantastic views. They timed the ceremony to end while the sun was going down and it was perfect. Mostly family and some children and they seemd to have a really good time. A great family and a fun party.

September 26 Marriot Hotel, Annapolis, MD. Boarman/Frankenfield

My best friend's sister's reception. Kristen and Todd were great to work with and knowing many of the guests I knew it would be a great party. The Marriott Annapolis is one of the best places in Annapolis to have a reception. I think it's the only venue in Annapolis right on the water. We had a great time from the beginning of the reception until the end. It was so good we went a little overtime just to make sure everyone had partied enough. Highlight - "Common People" by Pulp. Who would have thought I would play two Pulp songs this year at weddings and they would have been huge hits. Additional Highlight - The Bride's Daughter, Sydney. She had a great tim and added a lot of fun to the reception.

September 19 Kent Manor Inn, Stevensville, MD. Howey

Kent Manor is a really pretty place, especially as the sun goes down. The Bride mentioned that it seemed like she was in the "Great Gatsby".  It started with the introductions as we used "I'm in Miami Trick" which worked great considering most of the Bridal Party was from South Florida . A Highlight was "I Love Rock n' Roll" The Bride and her friends really went crazy. She told me later it was a special song considering it was released the same year she was born. Good thing they had planned to have another hour "After Party" in the Gazebo. We played mostly Top 40 & Club Music for the younger crowd.

September 12 Camden Yards, Baltimore, MD. Nill/Seymour

One of my favorite venues is Oriole Park. The fact that I love the Orioles aside, it is such a cool place to have a wedding. This crowd was absolutely nuts! They danced to everything from Oldies, Motown to Polkas and Top 40. A special guest showed up for Dinner hour, it was Elvis. The Bride's Dad and I were the only people that knew about this surprise. Ted Elvis did a great job of impersonating Elvis Presley and the crowd really enjoyed it. By the end of the night the guests wanted to keep partying forever, I am sure they kept it going in downtown B-More. Lauren and the staff at Aramark as always did a great job.

August 29 Stone Manor Inn, Middletown, MD. Howell/Lawrence

Stone Manor is a great venue that I had never been to before. They used the patio of the Manor House for cocktails and we played some really good "happy hour" type music that the bride had selected. It did started to rain a little bit so they shut down the cocktails, but brought the party to the Tent . Highlight - "Don't stop believin' " Journey. I don't think you could have partied more to that song then this crowd did. The bride a groom were really great to work with throughout the whole planning process. The party went so well , we stayed an extra 1/2 hour.

August 22 Wilmer Park, Chestertown, MD. Merrill/Warne

The Rain did not stop this party! Large group of 200 plus. The reception was held in a gigantic tent that literally was 10 feet from the Chester River. It rained pretty much the whole time, but it did not dampen anyone's spirits. Great group of extreme party people. They danced the whole night, with a good mix of the classic Motown, Disco/Funk and plenty of Old School and Modern Top 40. Jen and Kevin wanted a party and they got one. They were so fun to work with leading up to the reception and you could tell how much they loved each other and their family and friends. Highlight - "Otto's Journey" by Mylo. Kind of an inside joke with the groom and I, but Kevin really enjoyed it. If all receptions were like this one the world would be a better place.

July 25 CBF Annapolis, MD  Clautice/Kurgansky

What a beautiful place for a ceremony and reception! Right on the water and it was a perfect day. One of the nicest group of family and friends to party with. Everyone was in such a good mood and you could tell they were all glad to celebrate with the bride and groom. Dancing from the get go and non stop until the end, plus a little extra. The groom was such a nice guy and the bride looked beautiful. Highlight - 80 year old grandmother requesting "Poker Face" and dancing to the whole song.

July 11 Hyatt - Inner Harbor Baltimore, MD Thoupos/Black

We booked the ceremony music in Timonium and the Jazz trio in the Atrium for a very large crowd of 250 plus. This was a very high profile event. They had a huge Gobo light on the dance floor with the Bride and Groom's initials on it, they had mood lighting on every wall of the ballroom, with a lighting guy manipulating the lights the whole event. The party started off with some high energy introductions for a large and very fun Bridal party. Dinner was very classic as far as the music selections and towards the end we played some hipper current artist for the bride and groom. As soon as Dancing started it never stopped. We played a huge variety music throughout the night and ended the evening with a good portion of top 40/hip hop for the younger guests. Highlight - "Mr. Roboto" by Styx, the bride and her younger nieces had a great time dancing and singing the whole song. Great group to work and lots of fun!

July 3 Manor House @ Savage Mill, Savage, MD. Rowett

The Manor House is a very pretty location, the ceremony was right outside and I played for the prelude through the recessional and it went perfectly. The guests were very nice and everyone had a good time. Nicole was great to work with and had a smile on her face the whole time. Dancing was slow at first, but by the end of the night everyone had a blast!

June 21 St. John's College-The Great Hall, Annapolis, MD. Larson/Flory

We planned this reception in less than two weeks, but it turned out great. The ceremony was first and it was very nice. Cocktails followed with some classic 80's new wave, stuff I really enjoy. The party took a while to get started but everyone enjoyed the music and really got into it the latter half. Katie was a really cool bride and all of her hipster friends were very cool. Highlight - "Disco 2000" by Pulp, one of the bride's favorite songs and mine also. The crowd really enjoyed it.

June 13 Marriott West - Richmond, VA Kholsa/Hess

I knew this was going to be a good party as soon as I met Paige and Amit. They really wanted a straight up Party. They Danced and Danced the whole night and we had to play some "Bonus" songs or they might have killed me. Highlight - "JMU Fight Song" Lots of Alum and we did a group photo with all of them and they were singing and dancing to the whole song... had to play it twice. Very diverse group with Amit's side being Indian we played some classic Indian songs and the whole party joined in.

June 14 Bolling Haxall House, Richmond, VA. Kholsa/Hess

This was basically the same group of people as last night. They concentrated on the Indian Culture at this very nice venue. The did a traditional Indian Ceremony first had cocktails and then Dinner and Dancing. Things started off slow... I think I tired them out the night before. But once they got there second wind they really got started again. Played lots of Old Skool, 80's and Current Hip Hop towards the end. Highlight - "Rubbin" by Choclair apparently this is a classic for some people, I had never heard of it before, but Paige and her girlfriends really enjoyed it and it must have brought back memories.

June 6 Paca House, Annapolis, MD. McCafferty/Meehan

Very nice facility and Jody is great to work with there. The ceremony lawn is perfect for a wedding. Going into the gig I was expecting a good time, but I thought it would be pretty low key. It turned out to be a high energy party! Lots of friendly and fun family and guests. They danced pretty much from beginning to end and could have stayed longer. Highlight - "You're in My Heart" by Rod Stewart. This was their first Dance and when the chorus starting kicking in all of the women and some men were singing to the bride and groom, it was pretty cool.

May 30 Engineers Club Novello/Fuggitti

Engineer's Club again and this one was fantastic. Laura and Marco are near the top of my list of coolest Bride and Groom. They are really fun and have a great sense of humor. We pretty much did not stop dancing. Laura's brother did a great job singing that song from Juno "Anyone but you". Highlight - "Flava in Ya Ear" this was suppose to be the exit song but Marco enjoyed it so much we played a few bonus songs for him and Laura's friends.

May 16 Turf Valley Boyer/Alder

It started with the ceremony, we played the traditional classical music and ended with "Celebration" That got people in the mood early. Cocktails were fun and people were staring to get into party mode. Highlight - Playing the "Bugle Call" and announcing the Preakness winner (By Request). They danced and danced with lots of variety to the song selections. They really enjoyed themselves. Turf Valley as always did a great Job.

May 2 Ruth Chris' Pikes Depart/Hall

Good Time, wish we had more time to party. Ruth Chris' food was obviously great. I booked them strings for cocktails and Dinner and everyone seemed to really enjoy them. The party was very fun with lots of current Top 40/Hip Hip played. Everyone had a great time.

April 18 Engineer's Club Marbach/Palmieri

Back to the Engineer's Club, unique facility, great staff. This is going to sound redundant... Great Party!  We played everything from the Classic Standards, French Music to Old Skool Hip Hop and current Top 40. Highlight - A French Tradition The "Umbrella Dance" The Bride and Groom Dance in the middle of the dance floor with a an illuminate umbrella and the guests cover them with streamers, very fun.

March 28 Tremont Grand Katz/Mallare

That's three in a row! Jennifer started the evening off just right, singing "I'll Stand bY you" to her new Husband. The Tremont is a very nice place and it was my first time DJ'ing there and they were really great to work with. The dance floor once again was very crowded and we could have played much longer into the evening.

March 21 Baltimore Museum of Industry Moxley

Another Great reception! We started with fun Beachy/Happy Hour music for Cocktails and everyone was really in a good mood. Once dancing started the floor was packed. Highlight - "Talk Dirty to Me" near the end of the night people we're going nuts and screaming the Lyrics. Very nice and friendly Family and guests.

February 7 Engineer's Club Haskard/Ascione

Awesome Party! Danielle & Dave were super cool and we had a Blast!

I played many songs that aren't "traditional" wedding classics, but the crowd loved it. Highlight - "Paper Planes" everyone was going nuts and doing some kind of dance to the song. I thought playing a different intro song for everyone in the Bridal party wasn't going to work well, but it was very fun and got the crowd into it early. The party was going so well I played like 9 or 10 " Last Songs"
